The Future ...

Well, we are making good progress and are getting to get a house feeling.

While I am writing this, I am sitting in our new "library" aka "atelier" aka "art room" aka ... no longer rebuilding and making dust, but being creative, and so it becomes to time to think what we will be doing with this one little blog called xhm.

Shall we end it once the real xhm is over ?

Nope, as we do still have a few phases ahead for us in 2009 and 2010, but one constant in the progress will be the increase of home automation in our little house in the Skärgård.

So, while we started this adventure in the stone age and moved ahead to the modern ways of building in wood, the future will be more and more focused around eXtreme Home autoMation and the wonderfull world of using homeseer , X10, Z-Wave and other stuff to make life easy.

Today we will update some of the pictures.
Not only have we moved ahead pretty well, we also painted the whole surroundings white with snow :-)

Quick Status Update.

We are making good progress, and the works are going ahead.
The blocking factor is just me and getting picz online :-)

And maybe worth to do a working glog one of the weekends so some of you can have a real sneakpeak on the building progress.

A Box of Chocolates ...

Rebuilding is like a box of chocolates, you never know which one to take :-)

Anyway, today we had one of those days were we ran from shop to shop, trying to decide on small things like the light in the hallway, the light above the mirror in the bathroom, the inner doors or even the shower doors ...

Nothing is easy, and choosing between all the chocolates is surely a tempting endevaour. We even took a sidewalk into Mio and had a look at Coffee and Co

If you ask me Ikea will win the bathroom race, but loose Klippan against Mio ...

Anyway, for you dear visitor, we will start a new category or call it labels, where we will focus on brands and where to get them (did we tell you the Bauhaus Experience already ?)

We got some visitors today.
An XHM always attract some curious people :-)
Two of them were Mormor and Morfar and since they are going through their own XHM in a way they brought some presents along from cleaning the attic, and the cellar, and the ...

I must say the black nordtec pants are really really cool ... actually almost too cool to use for heavy duty work, but hey ... they will be my companion throughout these Xtreme House Make Over here ...
