Welcome to the Family Cloud

Only 2 weeks after we released the very first Family White Room, we moved ahead to a brandnew beta theme, got inspired and updated the working title to the Family Cloud 2.0

Our idea is still to be the one and only family hub, collecting all activity streams of our family members, and provide premium content to ourselves and our friends.

As mentioned earlier, your good old Geeklog ID will no longer work, so go ahead and do register again here.

Welcome to the Family Cloud

Only 2 weeks after we released the Family White Room, we moved ahead to a brandnew beta theme, got inspired and updated the working title to the Family Cloud 2.0

Still a big work in progress, but we are getting there, slowly crawling along in cyberspace.

Enjoy !

[Beta 1.0] 6 Months in 120 seconds

OK, This is just a first beta of the little movie we will produce after the Easter break so we have something to show at our opening party, but we wanted already to give it a try and see if we had enough pictures ...

No sound, just images, 120 seconds of pictures :-)

If you know a nice soundbite for the next one, let me know ...

Nexa

Remember those days when we told you about the table full of X10 elements that had arrived.

Well, today we took a jump in the deep and started to look at a Swedish Alternative, called Nexa.

The main driver for this was that Nexa is readily available here in Sweden in any main street DIY Shop like K-Rauta or Bauhaus and it caught my eye as it has the typical X10 wheel, but would it work with our already installed suite of X10 and Homeseer ?

So what is Nexa ?
Nexa is a rebrand of the Home Easy Product range using its own proprietary format and targetted to the Swedish Market.

Absolut Flamingo

We used to have our bathfoam in ABSOLUT (*) bottles in Belgium, and guess what ...

The BOTTLE is back :-)

(*) adult content ahead.

Saving the world ...

Today we had family over and before we know we were talking about the automated lightening, and mormor thought the bathroom lightening was really not working well (there is no obvious off button available), and so we went through a full demo ...

And yes, after a little while the obvious topic of the 21st century popped up when explaining the scenes and events build around sunrise and sunset, and farmor thought all this Home Automation really added to saving energy and thus ... eco-friendly, lowering our carbon footprint, and yes ... saving the world.

I could not resist in taking a little provocative stance on the topic, and maybe the ROI on our budget is not as obvious as one would think, but it is always good to feel good when saving the planet ...

Romance II

Almost One Month Later ...

Time flies fast when you are having fun ...

- We took a bath on my birthday (great fun)
- We got an extra bill from the folkpool guys (not so fun)
- We had an official holiday building break (micke went to T.)
- The Admiral Hotel in CPH is a good getaway when you are rebuilding (work has kept us busy)
- Kakel aka Ceramics have gotten a space cake touch and are in place (by proxy)
- The bathroom has had is official avant premiere yesterday when the kidz took some bubbles in the bath (wet wet fun)
- We have the picz, we just need to get them online ( time is the fourth dimension and it flies)
- The Kidz moved into the Blue Room (feeling blue)
- We are planning to move into the White Room before Xmas (we are in a colourfull mood)

Flash !

Quick Status Update.

We are making good progress, and the works are going ahead.
The blocking factor is just me and getting picz online :-)

And maybe worth to do a working glog one of the weekends so some of you can have a real sneakpeak on the building progress.

Let us know your thoughts !
