Water Day ...

Yesterday was the Vote Earth Day or Earth Hour Day and we did switch off the lights at 8:30 PM.

Not always that easy when you have home automation active and use motion detectors to switch on lights (and thus conserve energy) but since all motion detectors are connected with velcro, a simple tour round the house fixed that problem.

For next year I think we should commit to a full hour of no electricity, so its a more active gesture and reflection of how we handle energy and raw materials we take for granted like clean water to drink (hence the picture).

Shit Happens

Well indeed, since yesterday one of the main fuzes started to blow on a regular basis, and we thought the main culprit was the extra space we had opened and thus the increase on our heating elements ...

Even this morning we went through a downcycle of shutting down the hot tub and floor heating to make sure we could warm up the house ... but the fuse kept on blowing.

So what did we change recently ... euuhhhh, nothing really.
Snow is melting, so the second culprit was considered the temporary wiring we are running outside, but again no luck ...

And then it downed on me ... one of the BB's had pulled the temporary electricity to our pump in the biowaste center and I plugged it in yesterday again ... and the temporary electrical plug was tipping in the water .... a pretty burned out experience ...

Rain ...

It Works ...

Grey weather and plus temperatures make the little snow we had melt and fill up the dike, and resulted pretty often in floods ...
But not this year ... the irrigation Seb and Co has put in the ground is working ...

And the water is nicely transported ...

Always good to see a plan come through ...
