I bumped into woodwinds.se and I must say it is soooooooo Archipelago for me ...
I want one of those wonderfull art pieces for our hallway project ...

Things To Do This Autumn ...

Just a mental reminder that we should check out all these places in the Autumn :-)

Quite a few good restaurants, and we should benchmark them still in 2008, so we have a comparison for 2009.

Sandhamn [dot] se euhhh [dot] com ...

To sandhamn or to sandhamn :-)

Strömma Shopping ...

After two days of pooring water and stormy weather and with even more bad weather ahead the coming days, we decided to go for a short trip, including all things wonderfull in life. Good company, good food, wonderfull scenery on the way and yes ... even outlet shopping.

Strömma Kanal, Strömma Krogen and Strömma Outlet ... it almost sounds like ... fun :-)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ... part I

OK, I admit a louzy slip of the tongue but I do think it crossed the mind of the Captain at Waxholmsbolaget when they made The Boat Hikers Map ...

The best way to get you started and dreaming of Island hopping across the Archipelago (which looks a little bit like the galaxy) is here

And when you are in the neigberhood, let us know so we can wave from our boat :-)

Stormy weather ...

It really feels like autumn has started ... time to get some links sorted for the bad weather ahead ...

Anyway SMHI or Swedish Meteorologic And Hydrological Institute is there for you every day with the weather forecast ... it wasn't storm in the Stockholm Archipelago ... but a very serious "kuling" I would say ...

Hopefully tomorrow it will be a little bit better ...

Stormy Boaters ....

As said ... Stormy weather makes for evenings behind the computer around with other things.

Did you know what a burgee is ?

If not, do have a look here. If yes, do get inspired here about your new burgee you could be sailing next season ...

And just for the record if you are too lazy to click the links, a burgee is ... bur·gee (br-j, bûrj)n. Aka a small distinguishing flag displayed by a yacht and not a Burger aka Burger King or Mac Donalds or Max or ...

Karlslunds Cookies Boat ...

When exploring the outskirts around Moija we saw the beautifull old wooden classic petterson boat bringing the smell of freshly made bread and cookies to our docking place ... euhh or not :-)

Afterwards being back at home I couldn't resist to google and see if I could find some more about this modern delivery and what is actually in the coolboxes on board ...

Me again ...

A quick status update on the "me" part of the blog ...

As mentioned earlier I am not really sure on the way forward, and it is more a great way of getting in touch with the latest "mainstream" stuff without having to "work" and spent some time behind a laptop on rainy days, and do share with you about my second luv, the Archipelago while spending some quality time in exploring this with my first luv (Wivi and the Kidz) ...

Right now I have the mental note, to at least blog once a day, all year round, but offcourse there will be peaks and low ends.

As you have noticed, or not ... Wivi has joined the blog and hopefully she will share some wonderfull Skärgård recipes we have been enjoying ...

Farming in the Archipelago ...

Surfing around on a rainy day, I bumped in this nice article at sweden.se about the Shiermans Family living on Halmjö ...

Maybe one day I could imagine something like that too, a pity there are are no lobsters overhere :-)

I guess I will categorize this under the topic links ...
